Insulation Wedge EPS
The blaugelb Insulation Wedge EPS is made from an EPS (expanded poly-styrene). The insulation wedges are sturdy, resistant and insensitive to moisture. Thanks to the material’s outstanding thermal conductivity of 0.04 W/m²K, thermal bridges are prevented/minimised. Because of its low density and ease of processing, efficient and economical installation is assured.
Area of application – upper connection:
The blaugelb Insulation Wedge EPS is also outstandingly suitable for ventilated facades and cavity-wall masonry. Here the blaugelb Insulation Wedge EPS can be fitted above the upper horizontal bar, on the one hand preventing/minimising thermal bridges at this point and on the other hand assuring proper water drainage through the slope of the blaugelb Insulation Wedge. After fitting the blaugelb Insulation Wedge EPS, a film that is watertight against driving rain from the blaugelb range is installed over it. This makes water traps in the upper connection a thing of the past.
For uses in the ventilated facade/cavity-wall masonry, the blaugelb Insulation Wedge EPS can be installed directly on the window frame/upper bar or alternatively in combination with the blaugelb Triotherm+ profiles.
