FLK Sealing System
Our sealing solution for floor-level elements.
Our FLK Sealing System
Are you also sick of battling with hard-to-apply foils?
We all know how difficult it is to properly apply these heavy, often bituminous sealing foils at the lower window transition to the part of the façade in contact with the ground. The procedure becomes particularly complex if corners have to be formed. And as soon as the temperature starts rising, everything gets that much tougher – literally. But the sealing of this area is of monumental importance for the targeted longevity of the building. So why don’t you just take a different approach and use liquid sealant? Liquid plastics in particular are advantageous thanks to their properties.
Which trade is even responsible for this?
Here we have an area that is not really regulated and likely often eagerly avoided due to the presumed complexity of the work and thus referred to the subsequent trades. But who if not the window fitter would best know how to most effectively seal these high-quality elements? And having a good system in place renders this task even less daunting. With our blaugelb FLK Sealing System you now have a system that you can trust.
What components are included in the system?
The centrepiece of the system is a liquid plastic on a polyurethane basis – our blaugelb FLK Liquid for sealing floor-level elements in areas in contact with the ground. We provide our FLK Liquid Corner specifically for corners, as this has an increased stiffness thanks to the addition of fibreglass fibres. But the truly revolutionary part of our system is the innovative basis – anyone who has ever worked with liquid plastic together with tiles on a vertical wall is sure to appreciate our solution. Protected by a utility model, our self-adhesive blaugelb Foil Outside SL1050 Power One forms the innovative basis for our liquid plastic. It prevents it from running off while at the same time ensuring the layer thickness required by the specifications. This means that everything stays where it should instead of floating around as with a conventional tile solution. To round out the system, we naturally have the appropriate primer that has been tailored to the requirements of the respective substrates.
